| Tuesday 10 August | A walk-about with John Muir - Lee Stetson, an American actor, will guide you through the exhibition as 'John Muir' |
| Thursday 9 September | John Muir - Big Trees and Big Ideas - Ian Darwin Edwards of the Royal Botanic Garden. |
Full-day guided walks which include a visit to the above exhibition, will be led by the City of Edinburgh Countryside Ranger Service on 5, 12, 19, 26 August and 2 September. For further details contact the Ranger Service, tel 0131 447 7145.
Lee Stetson will appear as 'John Muir' in the John Muir Grove, Royal Botanic Garden at 3pm on Monday 9 and 12noon, Wednesday 11 August. Admission £3 (£2 concession).
Admission to all talks at the City Art Centre is free on production of an exhibition ticket.
